FAQ
Questions immigration buyers ask.
- Does it auto-fill USCIS forms?
- It extracts the data from your supporting documents (passports, paystubs, prior I-797s, etc.) into structured JSON. Auto-filling the USCIS PDF form itself is your responsibility (or via your case-management system's import). We don't submit forms to USCIS — that's your bar-licensed attorney's job.
- How does it handle non-English documents?
- If you have an original + a certified English translation on the same page, the mixed-language mode (HW-ML) runs the appropriate engine per script + returns both. If you have original-only, it extracts in the source language; you can chain it with a translation step downstream if needed.
- What identity verification systems do you integrate with?
- Output JSON is shaped for direct submission to Persona, Onfido, Veriff, Jumio, Stripe Identity. Custom format on request. We don't do the identity verification ourselves — that's a separate trust + KYC layer.
- PII / privacy?
- Same privacy posture as the rest of the platform. For Healthcare-adjacent immigration work (medical exams, HIV tests), add the Healthcare addon for BAA + PHI redaction. For pure immigration paperwork, the standard data handling applies.
- How current are the USCIS form templates?
- We monitor uscis.gov for form revisions. Updated templates ship within 30 days of a USCIS form revision. The dashboard surfaces a "template update available" banner when a new version drops; existing extractions continue to work on the old version until you upgrade.
- Can a paralegal use this directly?
- Yes — the visual field-picker means no coding required. A paralegal uploads a sample I-797, draws boxes around the fields they want extracted, saves the template, then processes hundreds of similar forms in batch. Most immigration teams have a paralegal-led template-builder workflow + a senior associate reviewing edge cases via the Review queue.
