What you get on each plan, how upgrades work through Stripe, and how to manage your subscription.

How upgrades work
Upgrade from /dashboard/settings → Plan & billing. Click the plan you want; you'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout to enter payment details. Stripe handles card storage; we never see your card number.
Subscriptions are monthly, charged on the day you sign up. Upgrades pro-rate immediately — you pay the difference for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
Managing your subscription
Once on a paid plan, the settings page shows a Manage billing in Stripe customer portal link. From the portal you can:
- Update payment method
- Switch to a different plan
- View past invoices + download PDFs
- Cancel — takes effect at the end of the current billing period
Credits + how they're debited
1 credit = $0.01 customer-facing purchasing power. Each extraction debits credits based on the scan mode that actually ran. Born-digital invoices cost 1–2 credits/page. Handwritten Arabic costs 25 credits/page. Multi-language mixed-script docs cost 30 credits/page. Heavy users pay proportional to value; light users barely pay anything.
The pre-flight check fires before any OCR/LLM work, so over-quota requests fail fast with no compute charge. Current balance is always visible in the top nav widget + at /dashboard/usage + via GET /v1/credits/balance.
Monthly allowances reset on subscription renewal day. Unused allowance rolls over up to plan-specific caps (Pro: 2,500 · Business: 12,500 · Enterprise: full rollover, 3 months max).
Top-up credit packs
Run out mid-month? Buy a top-up pack at /dashboard/usage. Top-up credits debit AFTER allowance + never expire on Business and Enterprise (Pro: 90 days).

Overage rates
If you prefer post-pay overage instead of top-up packs, every plan has an overage rate billed at the end of the billing period:
- Pro: $0.12/doc on Standard mode
- Business: $0.08/doc on Standard mode
- Enterprise: $0.05/doc on Standard mode (contractual)
Refunds + cancellation
Cancel any time from the customer portal — one click. Pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the current month (Stripe handles automatically). Your data stays available for export for 30 days after cancellation; we delete it permanently after that grace period.
